Hello again, we are only after getting back from our micro summer holiday! It was micro because it was only 10 days, which is really not a lot but we did get the maximum out of it! We got some sun, had some nice food, saw as many friends as we could and got to the sea for a couple of days! Lucky enough we are back to our base with the sun shining so the declimatising is not as difficult as I had feared!
Hanging planters seems to be this summer's way to go! There are so many different designs, materials and colours around at the moment it is even hard to choose! Today I am going for the Pyramid Bead Plant Hanger; handmade out of leather and can be found here.
The Toulouse low table designed by Jasper Morrison and made out of Carrara marble, matte polished and finished via here.
And finally, I keep checking out Iittala's Vitrini series and I think I would love a pair for our living room! These little glass boxes come in a choice of different colours and sizes and they are perfect for displaying little objects or collections (via here)!
This is the house of a married couple and their three sons, designed by mA-style Architects in Shizuoka, Japan. A black cube to the outside this house has no windows to its perimeter; the interior is lit and aired by openings on the roof! Inside all partitions are a combination of larch plywood and white walls with no main divisions between the rooms. Hence it is the ant house! I might have my doubts about sharing a house with my family with no dividing walls but I know I love every bit of how this place looks!
Today is this time of the year when one (me) has her cake (even if it is tiny), blows a few candles, thinks of a new wish and quite possibly receives some presents! Strange thing with birthdays as you get older, sometimes you like them sometimes you hate them! For me it is the first one this year as having done all the above and even got my picture to share a bite of my birthday cake with you, I am now getting ready to catch a flight for our summer holiday. And needless to say I will also be getting a cake with candles once I land on the other side too (oh yeah)!
So catch you all in a couple of weeks, june 20th to be exact! The shop will stay closed until then but I have set a few posts to go on the blog while I am away and I am hopping you will enjoy them! My camera is packed too and hopefully I will be sharing a few nice memories once I am back! Meanwhile, have a lovely time the sun is finally shinning!
